Replacing your existing windows with picture windows can open up your home to the outdoors. If you value your view more than being able to open your window then a picture window might be the perfect solution for you. In the pictures below, we removed 2 sets of sliding metal windows and replaced them with new picture windows. As you can see in the first picture, the area where the two windows come together in the middle cuts up the view of the back yard. Since the windows were behind a couch they were hardly ever opened and the room had a large patio door for fresh air. Changing the existing sliding windows over to picture windows was not an easy choice, I had to provide several computer generated images of what the room would look like with different window styles for this client. 
Switching to replacement picture windows made these clients happy since they can now sit in their living room and watch their kids play in the back yard. The white frames of the picture windows blend in with the surrounding paint and their eyes are able to focus on their backyard instead of the dark window frames.
